Meet the Captains of Royal Hawaiian

Captain Shane

Shane has lived on and off in Japan, California, and Hawaii for most of his life. He is a Coast Guard certified captain with four years of boating experience. His interest in Hawaiian history led him to obtain a degree in that field at UH Hilo. His passions include traveling, animals, and anything ocean-related, especially free-diving and an unhealthy obsession with Hawaiian endemic shells. He is fluent in Japanese. 

Captain Peter

Born and raised in Ma'ili, on the west side of Oahu, Kalani has always been interested in water sports such as body surfing and free diving. His passions led him to work as crew with boat charters, and he eventually obtained his Captain's license with five years of experience. When he isn’t working, Kalani is enjoying the beautiful Island lifestyle at the beach.
